Medical Lead

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing health care company using digital tools to address some of the largest challenges facing healthcare and improve patient outcomes. You will be using your clinical knowledge and experience to work in partnership with the NHS to improve access to our offering, provide clinical guidance to our product development teams and offer remote patient care. Flexible and remote working available.

What you'll be doing:

• Support the team to win NHS contracts, write tenders and develop business cases.

• Delivery of remote (email or phone) medical clinics including reviewing type 2 diabetic and obese patients ensuring appropriate prescribing.

• Develop and influence the diabetes and obesity market within the UK. Gain an understanding of competitors and UK healthcare policy around weight and diabetes management.

• Assist in the design of NHS medical pathways and input into the research strategy ensuring NICE requirements are met.

• Clinical management and development of the diabetic nurse specialist and medical teams.

• Support the Quality Lead in the CQC appraisal process as required.

What experience you will need to apply:

• Qualified Medical Doctor, either on the GMC GP Registered OR an endocrinology and diabetes mellitus register – you will have the option to practice clinically part time within this role, this will be discussed and agreed as part of your contract.

• Strong commercial background with a competitive approach to team success.

• Experience in clinical supervision and the delivery of clinical services within diabetes and weight management.

• Strong communication skills (including virtual communication) and the ability to represent the company with professionalism.

• Clinical research in obesity and type 2 diabetes along with a high level of understanding of digital health.
