We’re looking on the lookout for a Senior UX Architect (with a mobile-first approach) to join a leading content, media and publishing business in central London. With an impressive client list, long term partnerships and exciting growth plans in place; this is a genuinely exciting time to join the business.  

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be joining a specialist UX team made up of UX Architects, UX Researchers and UI Designers where you’ll work closely with the Head of UX and wider teams including Designers, Product Owners & Developers. You’ll be responsible for delivering end to end UX processes, qualitative & quantitative research, wireframing and iterations of existing products & platforms for a host of digital platforms and touch points.  

With a new platform having recently been launched there’s no better time to be joining the business. The team work in an agile scrum set-up who thrives on collaboration – safe to say there are no hierarchies here, with everyone in the team playing a part in UX research, strategy, user journeys & facilitating workshops, they’ll be plenty to keep you on your toes and really hone the UX offering for the business.  

Although predominately research-based, we are ultimately looking for someone who has already streamlined their research process, is comfortable running workshops with senior stakeholders, has a genuine interest in enhancing the digital experience across apps/mobile platforms and is passionate about putting the user at the forefront of everything they do.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • A portfolio or case studies highlighting your UX experience.
  • UI design experience across responsive web and apps.
  • Solid UX research skills (qualitative & quantitative)
  • Design skills (wireframing & prototyping)
  • Have a user-centred approach.
  • Experience working with mobile/apps.
  • Be commercially savvy and understanding of wider business goals.

You’ll be reporting directly to the Creative Director, and working closely with the creative and marketing departments to arrange shoots and ensure photography/video assets are delivered to their highest quality. The ideal candidate will have the utmost attention to detail and high technical ability in Adobe Photoshop. You will primarily be responsible for image editing of photography/videography, performing quality control on images, creating guidelines, and sharing feedback with freelance photographers and videographers. The role Work closely with the Creative Director to create creative briefs for photographers and videographers. Support the Creative Director and Designers with shoot planning and styling. Source models, props and samples for shoots. Arrange collections and drop-offs to shoot locations. Attend photo shoots (when it’s safe to do so). Be responsible for basic image and colour correcting for products and editorials. Create packshot images for each new collection. Oversee and manage the image repository. Be responsible for the entire image process to ensure a smooth workflow with the wider business. About you: A strong portfolio demonstrating commercial product retouching skills. A keen eye for detail. Expert knowledge of Photoshop. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments. Excellent organisation skills. A pro-active can-do attitude. Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. Agency or inhouse background considered. Have a strong commercial understanding. What you’ll be doing  In this role you will carry out market research, interview users and facilitate usability testing to help the business understand what their users need from their products by planning, designing and researching into the behaviours and motivations of their users.  Collaboratively, you will work with the product team to develop new features and make the user experience of their entire product suite more intuitive, accessible and engaging.  What experience you’ll need to apply Bachelor’s or MS in a human behaviour related field (or equivalent).  4 + years’ experience with a successful track record within the digital industry or other audience-focused insight role. What experience you’ll need Previous experience within a similar design role. A portfolio full of digital assets (including social and web content) Fantastic knowledge of both digital and print processes and practices. Experience retouching or compositing images in Adobe Photoshop. Confident user of Adobe CC, proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. An entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working with a fast paced and ambitious team. Excellent attention to detail. Motion graphics skills in After Effects or Premier Pro also a plus.
