Senior Business Analyst

— Digital green-field projects

A super exciting opportunity to join a well-established property company that is currently right at the start of a digital/ web re-platforming project. The client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst, who is able to view the big picture of the re-platforming but have a super analytical approach to gathering business requirements. You will chair/ lead meetings with stakeholders and drive the project through the early stages and beyond. This is a fast-paced, agile business that works in two-week sprints. You will be one of the early members on this project so an ability to get under the skin of the business and understand each team's requirements into rigorous user stories. 

What you'll need:

  • Experience working in small, agile teams, taking ownership and leading the way
  • Strong experience working with a range of technical and non-technical people across the business
  • An ability to be able to gather technical requirements and translate into rigorous user stories
  • Extensive experience working to agile methodologies
  • Confidence to be able to stress test stakeholders when gathering requirements
  • Incredible detailed with gathering requirements, model business processes, and translate complex business logic into features and user stories
  • Experience of computational logic, data structures and system architecture
  • Ability to clearly document complex processes and concepts and communicate these ideas effectively to the delivery team
  • Experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps in collaboration with scrum masters and product owners
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams – thinking holistically and constructively challenging requirements to improve the overall quality of the solution while remaining pragmatic
  • Experience working closely with QAs in the review of test scripts and automated testing flows
  • Skilled at writing user stories to create well-structured Epics, for both front-end, back-end and API development, and acceptance criteria in Gherkin syntax
  • Very strong attention to detail, documentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver work under time pressure and prioritise workload, as well as
  • A logical thinker who enjoys finding clean solutions for problems

What you'll be doing: 

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Head of Digital Projects to gather rigorous requirements and translate into comprehensive User Stories. You will have extensive experience working as an agile business analyst, working closely with product owners, project managers, and scrum masters, UX/ UI specialists, front end and back end developers, and QA’s. You will have a good mix of technical skills, an appreciation for good experience design, and the ability to translate business requirements into feature stories for developers and QAs across the application (UI, API, and database).
