We are working with one of the UKs top trade retailers who are going through a significant period of digital growth. Despite a global pandemic, this business had their best year in 2021 with sales circa 2.1b and their tech team continues to grow at pace. This is an exciting opportunity for a current Application Support Engineer to join a talented team, with the plan to progress to a developer over the next couple of years.


What you will be doing:


You will ensure the smooth operation and continuation of service of our core trade and digital applications. You will ensure any application issues are resolved as efficiently as possible. You will need to be service focused, with a dedicated approach to improving processes through automation, innovation and continuous improvement.


Your key tasks will be responding to production incidents, driving recovery and mitigation, and ensuring agreed levels of support are maintained and delivered.


What experience you will need:

• Excellent judgment, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of working in a software development environment.
• Skills or Knowledge of ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, C#
• Knowledge of web design and web development.
• Good understanding of database design, programming (SQL) and query optimization.
• Experience with supporting .NET content management systems.

As well as a generous salary of up to £45,000 dependant on experience,  you will also be entitled to a company bonus of 15% of your annual salary. 25 days plus the bank holidays.
