An opportunity to join an Oxford Plant Bioscience company going through strong growth and leading science within their niche globally. They are looking for a Data Manager with experience of managing data systems with large datasets. Scientific data would be beneficial but not essential.


What you’ll be doing:

• Leading a small team managing, maintaining and developing science information systems for a suite of scientific instruments, database and large datasets.
• Work closeley with scientists to optimise their use of data.
• Database management, working with providers.
• Setup of Webservices.
• Automate process using scripts, REST API, Knime workflows or similar.

What experience you’ll need to apply?

• Proven experience as a Data Manager or similar, ideally with team leading experience.
• Used to managing large datasets, including database backup and recovery strategies.
• Good RDBMS and SQL for complex SQL statements.
• Degree qualified in Computer Science, Science or Data related fields.
• Ideally Scientific Data or Imaging date experience.
