After winning several tech awards in 2020 and further investment into the New Year, this company are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to join their team, with the option to work remotely with a trip to the office 3-4 times a month.
What skills you'll need
- Full-Stack capability, ideally leaning towards the server-side.
- Proven background in Python/Django - another web framework is also fine.
- Cloud-native development knowledge using AWS (EC2, RDS, S3 etc.).
- Awareness of DevOps ways of working, CI/CD, Containers, IaC etc.
- Data management skills would be useful. Experience with PostgreSQL/Dynamo/MongoDB.
- Knowledge or interest in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning would be great.
- Knowledge of things like Microservices, Nginx, Flask, TypeScript, AuthO would be handy, but not essential.
What you'll be doing
Joining a small, multi-functional Agile team, you’ll be supporting the build and delivery of a large-scale data platform. Your focus will vary from front-end features to server-side complexity, plus data storage and processing pipelines, with the architecture being Microservices-based. Being a fast-growing start-up, adaptable mindsets are needed as no day will be the same. You’ll be implementing secure and efficient APIs and playing an integral role in the frameworks and tooling used for future progression of the product base. There will be a good chance for this role to progress as the team scales up, so if you have a desire to move into more of a Tech Lead role later down the line, this role could be a great next step and I’d love to hear from you.
