An opportunity has become available for a cyber security specialist to join a scale- up business in Gloucestershire. Their mission is to help solve the cyber security shortage by educating the future generation of security professionals. Their platform identifies and develops cyber security talent from a young age by engaging and improving their skills. You will be joining a team of passionate problem solvers who are able to offer unique insight into the challenges that they create. Due to expansion, they have just moved to brand-new office and would love for you to join them there however remote working is available.
What skills you’ll need
- Basic working knowledge of any programming language
- Strong knowledge of IT Security
- Pen Testing
- Network Forensics
- Malware Analysis or Exploit Development
What you’ll be doing
You will research the latest emerging threats and innovations within security and turn these into concepts that are fun and engaging in the form of gamification. You will review the existing challenges on the platform in order to continuously improve the product and carry out rigorous testing of the platform. Part of your role will also include attending target audience presentations and trade shows when required.

These applications often have complex workflows & database schemas so you’ll need to be confident in making positive technical architecture decisions and providing direction to other more junior developers in the team. You’ll embrace & advocate the DevOps culture of working, offering a passion for automation and supporting the contribution towards writing excellent software & automated tests.
