Data Engineer

This industry-leading firm in Bristol are looking for a Data Engineer to help support various ongoing projects including a modern event-driven Cloud platform build.

What you'll be doing

As a Data Engineer, you will come in and hit the ground running to support the team across many disciplines. This will include optimising databases, reducing load times and blending sources and data models.

They are working on some local projects including risk management systems and integrating disparate sources for analytics. They have recently started using Scala across the team for some development and testing so this is a great chance to gain experience in this highly sought-after programming language. 

The team is building a modern event-driven Cloud platform so anyone who joins will get to play a vital role in this too, gaining valuable experience with AWS, Snowflake and Kafka. 

What you'll need to apply

• Advanced SQL
• Autonomous mindset
• ETL experience
• Scala/Python/Java desirable
• Cloud experience desirable
