A pioneering tech company with world-leading haptic and tracking technology is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join their Bristol team. The business is backed by huge investment with 175 employees globally; the last year has only accelerated their product roadmap and they’re in a fantastic position to be growing the team further. Their technology is used in a variety of fields including VR/AR, spatial computing, immersive 3D experience, automotive, entertainment, medical/healthcare and more.
 

What you’ll be doing

This role sits within a team of 10 (split across the UK and the US). Joining the team, you work to develop and productionize their Machine Learning solutions using both Python and TensorFlow.

You’ll research, code and deliver alongside the company’s product and engineering team to test and release new hand-tracking features to the company’s users worldwide. This will include applying mathematics, machine learning, and AI techniques to improve spatial tracking.


What experience you’ll need

• A degree in a STEM subject, Computer Science or Engineering with a focus on Machine Learning
• Proven commercial experience in Machine Learning related work (Computer Vision particularly desired)
• Strong experience in applied mathematics, algorithm design and performance optimisation
• Excellent coding and software development skills including Python and Deep Learning frameworks such TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch
• Experience with any physics simulator, video game physics or computer graphics is a plus
• Motivated, energetic and ready to own challenges
• Line management experience is an advantage
