Senior Front-End Engineer

We’re excited to be assisting one of Europe’s most innovative tech businesses in their search for 2-3 Senior Front-End Engineers. You’ll be part of a top-class team working on a suite of applications that already protects the lives of over 3 million people daily. 

This is a fully remote UK role with possible onboarding (all expenses paid) at their Monaco HQ.

What experience you’ll need

  • Modern JavaScript/Typescript.
  • HTML5 and CSS.
  • Some of: Pixi.js, Phaser, Babylon3D, Playcanvas, Unity, WebGL
  • React.js or similar UI framework.
  • Unit testing tools.
  • Websockets and REST APIs.
  • GIT or similar distributed version control software.
  • A desire to work on software and applications that have real-world impact.
  • Able to work on large codebases and learn new tools.
  • Any knowledge of the following would be highly desirable: OpenLayers, D3 libraries, iOS or Android development, WebRTC, Gstreamer, Server-side experience with Python, Node.js or Rust, DevOps tools such as Ansible, Packer.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Front-End Engineer you will be working in an extremely rewarding role with a diverse range of challenges delivering high-quality user experiences in a timely fashion.  They’re bringing the latest web technologies to real-world cloud and hardware interfacing with very diverse equipment including radar, sonar, thermal imaging, software-defined radios and more. Their UI runs on touchscreen displays, tablets, phones, smart-glasses and more!  They operate in mission critical environments with systems that can operate at sea and high security areas with limited connectivity to the data centre and creativity is often required to solve unexpected technical issues. The role can be extremely diverse, interesting and rewarding if you are up to the challenge.
