Front-End Developer

A talented Front Developer is needed to join Somerset’s best digital agency at their fantastic Taunton offices. You’ll be working on a wide range of challenging projects across many industries with the opportunity to learn and experiment.  They need someone to have an impressive portfolio of web builds and a grasp of PHP to come in with a good eye for detail to work closely with their award-winning design team.

What experience you’ll need

  • Expertise with HTML and CSS.
  • JavaScript (including JQuery).
  • Build tools such as Grunt or Gulp.
  • Understanding, basic ability with PHP and MySQL.
  • Experience of Git and Gitlab / Github will be important to the role.
  • Within the role you’ll be able to pick up AWS, Node.js, Automated Testing and CMS experience.

What you’ll be doing

Joining as part of their development team you’ll have responsibility for top quality website builds with a mix of WordPress and their own CMS.  You’ll play a key role in multiple projects for a wide range of well renowned brands in an often client-facing environment.  They will look to you to have a methodical approach to development and testing along with a high awareness of industry standards, trends and issues.  There’ll be regular interaction with the design and account management teams and you’ll play an important part in discussions with both clients and team members over technical issues and best practices.  In addition there will be elements of website testing, integration with the back-end and supporting any client requests.
