Motor Control Design Engineer


  • Based from a new site in Taunton
  • Full project control with an R+D focus
  • Growing company with varied and technical projects as well as future progression


Our client is looking for an experienced Motor Control Design Engineer to assist within the R+D function of the business. This is a growth role, due to the company’s continued success in the last 12 months and will suit candidates with experience in motor control solutions for low inductance applications and FOC/sinusoidal algorithms.


What you will need:

  • Excellent experience of motor control design
  • Implementation of FOC and sinusoidal algorithms from C
  • Looking to work on a varied cradle to grave R+D projects
  • CANbus, Modbus, EtherCAT, RF Comms knowledge
  • Experience with of PIC, Atmel, AVR or ARM microcontrollers


What you will be doing:

Your day to day activity will varied to reflect the variety of projects you will be supporting on, but you will take full control of cradle to grave projects. You will work within a team of 4 to develop and new products and improve existing designs and concepts. This will be a hands on role with a requirement to work onsite every day, you will also create and update all supporting documentation to accompany work at various stages of the process.
