It is a chance for an individual experienced in cryptographic engineering to to develop and deliver cryptographic engineering solutions for communications protocols for a highly specific and innovative technologies.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Designing and evaluating modification of existing communications protocols.
  • Working as a part of multidisciplinary team, improving proof of concept implementations.
  • Evaluating modifications to common layer 2/3 communication protocols (e.g. MACsec, MPLS) to incorporate quantum-safe cryptographic primitives.  
  • Developing prototype implementations of quantum-safe communications protocols.
  • Preparing appropriate technical specifications and documentation.   
  • Delivering research papers & patents where appropriate.
  • Engaging within the industry (conferences, industry seminars, standards bodies). 
What experience you will need to apply:
  • A degree or equivalent in cyber security, cryptography, computer science, mathematics, or related field.
  • Experience with cryptographic engineering.
  • Prior experience in building, delivering and testing cryptographic protocols such as MACsec, IPsec & MPLS .
  • Knowledge of building, delivering and testing IKE, EAP, MKA.
  • Post-quantum cryptography experience.
  • Great coding skills, including C/C . Rust or Python would be a bonus.
