Sustainability is more important than ever, and this company are one of the largest sustainability consultancies in the World, boasting an impressive client base of household brands with experts based across 40+ countries globally. They work with businesses, cities/regions and other organisations to drive sustainability strategies, performance and solutions through the use of tech, data and on-going consultancy. Due to continued success and a growing client base, they’re looking for a Software Engineer to join them remotely, with very occasional trips to any of their UK offices.
What experience you’ll be needing
- Proven Python expertise with commercial knowledge of Django.
- Ability to be full-stack but focusing on the server-side.
- Awareness of the front-end, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript etc.
- Understanding of Linux OS and commands.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL/PostgreSQL.
- Any awareness of DevOps best practice would be beneficial.
- Analytical mindset, good mathematical skills.
What you’ll be doing
Joining the software team with the option to work remotely, you’ll deliver a variety of web builds and digital services that provide solutions to their clients’ sustainability strategies. You’ll be involved in meets with system users to understand project scopes, working alongside a cross-functional team to maintain quality client management/support. There’s a healthy mix of greenfield and on-going work to be involved in, covering anything from new system or web service builds through to monitoring and maintenance of existing software systems, ensuring everything is tested regularly and reviewing technical documentation for quality assurance. This role would suit a passionate technologist who really wants to make a difference in a technical analytics environment at the forefront of sustainability activation.
