- Remote friendly, one trip to Bristol office a month.
A Bristol-based tech start-up with an exciting SaaS product is looking for a Front-End Engineer to play a key role in shaping the direction of their offering moving forward. The business provides shipping software solutions, having shipped over 2 million orders in the last month alone through their platform (40 million to date!). With recent investment and over 5000 happy clients with no sign of slowing down, it’s an awesome time to join the team.
What experience you’ll need
- Commercial experience in a front-end role, either junior or mid-level.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles for web apps.
- Awareness of front-end build tools like Webpack, Grunt, Gulp etc.
- Any experience with REST APIs would be beneficial (bonus points for Python/Django exposure).
- Solution-oriented approach with ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment.
What you’ll be doing
Joining a small but very capable development team, you’ll play an integral part in the future shape and direction of their product. Your day-to-day focuses on adding new features to their core product offering, involving yourself in product planning sessions and solving unique challenges surrounding UI/UX. You’ll produce clean, robust and reusable code to support future Engineers joining the team, involve yourself in code reviews and user sessions with the customer success team, as well as contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of their product development workflow. The business’ product is already in market and making profit, so whilst it’s not Greenfield, you have a very successful foundation to build on and as a business run by Developers, they’re always open to ideas around integrating new tech and features where they can.
What you’ll get in return for your talents
You’ll get an incredible opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing business at an exciting point in their journey. You will form part of a dynamic and flexible team who are passionate about exploring new & emerging tech (the business was founded by devs!) and be encouraged to implement new ideas. They have a remote-first working ethos (you choose how and where you want to work) with a team meeting in the office once a month, stock options, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), your choice of kit and more!
