Head of Product – Neighbourly (12-month FTC)

About Neighbourly

Neighbourly is a multi-award-winning community investment platform that helps companies make a positive measurable impact in their communities, by putting “local impact” at the heart of responsible business.

We are uniquely positioned to grow sustainable community investment working as a two sided marketplace that connects corporate partners with thousands of vetted local good causes, facilitating the donation of surplus products (e.g. food), employee volunteering programmes and provision of financial support (e.g. grants), all in one place.

Our technology helps drive operational efficiency, promote employee engagement and foster wellbeing by providing data and insights that help businesses achieve their CSR and ESG (environmental, social, governance) objectives. Because the platform is public it enables a business to surface community stories and create a discoverable legacy of giving, helping to enhance brand reputation and build positive community relations.

Neighbourly is at an exciting time in its journey having just completed a successful Series A funding round and is entering a period of accelerated growth. The next few years will see the business consolidate its market leading position in the UK and provide a springboard for international expansion. The rise of the corporate ESG agenda, combined with the climate crisis and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, means the Neighbourly proposition is more relevant and needed than ever.

What you’ll be doing as our Head of Product

Working in a tight knit team and reporting directly in to the Head Of Tech you'll have overall responsibility for the business's core software product and the product management function. You will be the primary driver of the product vision and translating this in to a strategic product roadmap incorporating market trends and customer insight. As well as the software delivery side to product management, you'll have ownership of the more commercially strategic product elements - go to market strategy, commercial forecasting and managing an impressive customer base, whilst they expand their presence nationally.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • We're looking for a well-rounded senior and strategic product management professional with a track record of delivering new products (ideally cloud-based) to market.
  • Previous experience working in a senior product role; whether that’s Head of Product, Senior Product Manager, Product Lead or Senior Product Owner.
  • You'll be equal parts technical software product delivery person and commercially minded go-to-market style product person.
  • Experience of working well within cross-functional teams i.e. development, UX, marketing and customer success.
  • Able to articulate sustainability agenda problems, how to fix them when applied to the platform.
  • If you are passionate about their mission which is connecting corporates with charitable organisations to make a positive impact in local communities then we’d love to hear from you!
