Principal Hardware Engineer

This rapidly expanding high-tech client specializes in providing research and innovation and secure technology solutions for network, defence, and cyber security sectors. Due to their investment in growing their engineering department, they are now looking for experienced hardware engineers who would be working on the high-speed digital design, complex multi-layer boards and design layout circuits involving embedded devices.

  • Leading the design for embedded processing devices.
  • UK company serving government customers and commercial providers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the design of new products.
  • Taking the responsibility of hardware design needs.
  • Planning and coordinating engineering works.
  • Providing technical expertise to other team members.
  • Providing digital and analogue electronic design.
  • Delivering fault diagnostics and running product improvements.
 

What experience you’ll need

  • A relevant degree or equivalent within electronics/hardware engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of both digital and analogue electronic circuit design, implementation, simulation, and verification.
  • Good understanding of electronics components market.
  • Experience with team management and coaching on hardware aspects.
  • Experience with high-speed digital design.
  • Proficiency in PCB layout, assemblies, and systems.
  • Working knowledge of RF design including Wi-Fi, NFC and cellular would be beneficial.
