This rapidly expanding high-tech client specializes in providing research and innovation and secure technology solutions for network, defence, and cyber security sectors. Due to their investment in growing their engineering department, they are now looking for all level Embedded Software Engineers who would be working on the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of complex software solutions.
  • Working on the software for embedded hardware platforms and microkernels.
  • UK company serving government customers and commercial providers.
  • Flexible working hours, part-time or full-time.
What you’ll be doing 
  • Designing and implementing embedded and user-facing software applications.
  • Developing board support packages and drivers for hardware devices and filesystems.
  • Working with various hardware processors, languages, operating systems etc.
  • Coding, testing, and debugging complex software solutions.
  • Doing probing, measuring, voltages, signals etc.
  • Providing test automation.
  • Engaging with Hardware Support Team in Agile Scrum and design sessions.
What experience you’ll need 
  • Proficiency in real-time C and Python. Knowledge of Rust and Bash scripts are highly beneficial.
  • Experience developing web-based application using modern frameworks and tools.
  • Knowledge of software quality and testing; Google test, Unity, Robot or equivalent.
  • Understanding both kernel and user space application development and design.
  • Previous work with network communication protocols, debugging and analysis tools.
  • Experience with real-time embedded operating systems.
