A widely recognised higher education services provider based in Cheltenham, is now on the lookout for a talented Data Scientist to join the team on a permanent basis. Data is at the core of this organisation, and you'll be joining a very forward thinking environment, having the opportunity to work on the latest tools in data science.
What you'll be doing
Naturally, you'll be a strong leader and will be a beacon of knowledge for those working alongside you. Leading a small team that sits within the Insight and Analysis function, you will assess the current tools used, help to standardise how and when they are used across the business, with regards to statistical analysis and modelling, contribute to the implementation of machine learning, and continue to train other team members on novel products and best practice. This is an end-to-end data science role that will require you to have significant experience in a commercial environment, where you will be able to demonstrable excellent stakeholder management ability.
What experience you'll need to apply for this role
- Experience in leading a data/analytics team
- Extensive knowledge of SAS and one other language (e.g. Python or R)
- Experience within a commercial environment
- Bachelors degree in a numerate/analytical discipline
