Digital Engineer

We’re working with one of the UK’s best-renowned countryside attractions to find a Digital Engineer to join them in their beautiful Somerset-based site. It’s a unique experience provider with a progressive digital proposition which includes interactive exhibitions, VR experiences and virtual tours, boasting over 60,000 members and some ambitious plans to grow their digital offering further. Due to the physical interaction with their products, the role ideally needs someone on-site 5 days a week. 

What experience you’ll need

  • A technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics or similar. 
  • Skilled in C++, either commercially or academically. 
  • Knowledge of computer architecture, including CPUs, SIMD, code compiling etc. 
  • Awareness of 3D graphics and game engines like Unreal/Unity or similar. 
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, appreciation for optimisation. 
  • Understanding of MATLAB, robotics and hardware systems is desirable. 
  • Keen eye for user experience and user-friendly functionality.

Joining an experienced team in the heart of Somerset, you’ll take the lead on designing, building, testing and maintaining digital experiences and advanced real-time digital exhibits. The role is incredibly diverse with multi-product coverage, allowing you to collaborate across several scientific and engineering disciplines, having autonomy over architectural direction and an ability to delivery new digital technologies to better user experiences across their product range. The environment is research-driven and they’re constantly looking to add the latest tech to their experiences, leaving you at the forefront of modern technology with a chance to embrace digital architecture across multiple domains.

What experience you'll need to apply for this role: You will be an experienced Scrum Master, Agile Project Manager or Agile Coach. Previous experience coaching and mentoring a more junior team Strong working knowledge of the Scrum Guide, Scrum values and Agile’s 12 principles. Strong proven experience of working with a multitude of stakeholders/customers in the context of Project management, organisation change and product delivery. Ideally your experience will be gained within the Education industry. What you'll get in return for your experience The daily rate is up to £500 p/day "Inside IR35", however, all quotes from suitable candidates will be considered.
