Thermal Systems Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 benefits

This is an opportunity to join a leader within their field working on a variety of cooling systems utilised in both the Aircraft, Vehicle and Helicopter domains. In line with growth the are looking for someone with good Thermal Systems Engineering and Design skills, to work on the full product development lifecycle of new and existing products and systems.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Be involved with all stages of the product development cycle from requirements, bids/proposals, R&D, verification, and validation.
  • Therma systems design and modelling working alongside a gate review system for NPI.
  • Detailed design and analysis of a range of cooling systems from passive and active cooling, fans, and vapour compression cycle.

What experience you’ll need to apply?
  • Thermal Engineering experience with good knowledge of cooling and calculations using simulation with tools e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS, Simscale or similar.
  • Cooling systems experience, this can be from any form of cooling such as heat exchangers, vapour cycle, vapour compression, refrigeration.
  • General systems engineering ideally across the full product lifecycle, including requirements, proposals, verification, and validation.
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering or Maths/Science related field with a collaborative way of working.
