— Socially-conscious Digital Agency

Salary: Competitive
Location: Bristol
Type: Permanent
Ref: 10018

Description

  • Digital agency with a number of charity clients.
  • Excellent opportunities for progression.
  • Dynamic, fast-paced environment.

A highly-respected digital agency is seeking an experienced Digital Marketer to join their growing Search Marketing team. You’ll be working with some of the biggest charities, both here and internationally, NGOs, think tanks and universities, getting the chance to design, develop and deliver SEO strategy for them.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be comfortable carrying out keyword research, knowing how to track rankings over time and be able to identify and optimise the right content for those keywords.

Content is another element you’ll need to focus on, ensuring it is optimised for SEO purposes, as well as engaging audiences.

On the technical side, you’ll understand when to use a robots.txt file over a noindex directive, and know the value of a properly configured XML sitemap, as well as being able to identify issues with how Google crawls a site and how to fix problems when they arise.

Link-building will be a key part of your role. Whether you concentrate on going after broken links and unlinked mentions, or favour dedicated outreach campaigns, you’ll know how to grow the number of high-quality incoming links that clients receive.

Finally, a data-driven approach is essential for ensuring your campaigns are a continued success, so you’ll be expected to use Google Analytics to track these and gather relevant insight which will optimise your future activities.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Good knowledge of SEO strategy and implementation, including keyword research, link-building, content and technical SEO.
  • Familiar with a range of SEO tools, such as Moz, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog.
  • Ability to use analytics tools to gather relevant insights and optimise activity.
  • Confident in presenting findings to clients and inputting to pitches.
  • Forward-thinking approach, with the ability to spot new opportunities within organic search.
  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO trends, developments and best practices.

What you’ll get in return for your experience

A competitive salary dependent on experience is on offer, alongside a stream of lovely benefits. These include: 25 days holiday, a performance-related bonus, free lunch on Wednesdays, health plan, cycle to work scheme and a variety of team building trips.
