— Apps, Connected Devices
We’re looking for a Midweight User Experience (UX) Designer to join a mobile apps team in North Wiltshire. Working as part of the wider research and innovation department of this technology led business you will help to craft connected solutions for a range of physical products. The focus for this role will be blending digital technology seamlessly with products in the real world; you’ll get hands on with brand new technologies and explore things like the Internet of Things (IOT) in this exciting position.
What you’ll be doing
Working alongside a group of specialised UX and UI designers you will focus on the user experience for digital solutions that help users connect with a range of physical products. Your relationship with the product owners and engineers will be crucial; you’ll get a handle on the data available from the physical products and how this will pull in to the application experience for the customer. Utilising user and market insights, you will help to develop UX concepts and designs across a multitude of devices. The role is to be focussed in standalone app design in the whole and rather than UX research will be based on visual design and interaction design deliverables (wireframing, prototyping).
What experience you’ll need
Here we’re looking for a UX Designer that has a good understanding of standalone mobile app design. You’ll need some solid commercial experience and if you’re light on app experience a variety of self-initiated mobile centric projects showing your ability will do. You’ll need to be a problem solver at heart, it’ll be your mission to wrap your head round a unique set of users and use your digital experience to create wireframes and prototypes for mobile devices. Any experience of the IOT and connected products will go a long way but in lieu of commercial examples a deep interest here will do.
What you’ll get in return for your talents
The benefits on offer for this position are fantastic. Not only will you be joining a new team and be working on some truly rewarding projects you’ll be awarded generous holiday, flexible working, a companywide bonus scheme and a truly stunning working environment to boot.
To be considered please apply with an up to date CV and portfolio or collection of case studies. We’ll want to see sketches, scamps, wireframes and prototypes.Back to jobs
