Embedded Software Team Leader

Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Team Leader to join their growing team based in Wiltshire, to work on projects spanning a wide range of industries and products. You will work in a skilled and collaborative team and be expected to mentor more junior members, although there is no management responsibility beyond mentoring. This is an exciting opportunity to work on technical varied and challenging projects, with a company willing to train you in areas that you might have limited experience.  


What you’ll be doing

Joining the wider Engineering team with multi-project exposure, you’ll support the delivery of high-level projects across their global customer base. You will work on a range of projects and might find you are having to learn new languages/skills, so a genuine interest in software development is required. The sales team will do most of the heavy lifting in securing projects and outlining requirements, but some client conversation will be needed to establish specifics/timelines. 


What experience you’ll need to apply

  • Embedded microcontroller development. 
  • Communication protocols/Internet Technologies. (TCP/IP, Network sockets, HTTP, HTML) 
  • Software design and test. 
  • BS EN ISO 90001/safety-related in one of MOD, Aerospace, Defence, Rail real-time systems.
  • Leading by example and correctly implementing standards & procedures.
