A multi award-winning company is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join them in Chippenham. They’re considered market leaders in the clean energy space and have a huge community presence for advocating sustainability and investing in Green Tech start-ups. With exciting plans for growth in the pipeline they’re in need of a Full Stack Developer to drive development across their web & mobile platforms.
What skills you’ll need
- Proven development experience across the full stack, preferably in a C#, .NetCore environment.
- Exposure to a wide range of development best practises (design patterns, testability, messaging patterns etc.)
- An understanding of CI/CD or TDD would be beneficial.
- Experience working in Agile SCRUM environment.
What you’ll be doing
Joining a high performing Agile development team your focus will be the delivery of top quality software development across both their customer facing applications and internal platforms. Working closely with the Lead Developer you will help shape development standards by driving best practices and continuous improvement throughout. You will be a proactive individual with a clear passion for technology and will be expected to lend your technical expertise when it comes to the implementation of tech & tooling such as CI/CD & TDD principles or choosing the appropriate development stacks. Although not in a formal capacity, it would be great if you could share your knowledge and experience with more junior developers, as well as taking suggestions from your wider team.

What skills you’ll need Significant understanding of both cloud (Azure, AWS) and on-prem equipment (VMs, server, storage). Proven knowledge of Azure DevOps for CI/CD, Source Control, IaC, Monitoring/Logging etc. Passion for automation with an awareness of things like Ansible/Terraform. Background in IT infrastructure operations, service desk, customer-focused roles. Awareness of containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes). ITIL or similar would be a nice to have. What you’ll be doing Joining a small, customer-focused team you will play an integral part in driving the business’ DevOps strategy with a key focus on CI/CD and automated quality. It’s a varied role with elements of DevOps, AWS, Azure and on-prem so you’ll need to be comfortable working with VMware & servers/storage. You’ll be an advocate for automation & infrastructure-as-code, trying to leverage the use of cloud across the business and working closely with the development team to help improve the Azure DevOps service. Whilst you’ll also be involved in the ownership of physical environments the main focus will be on improving the business’ cloud footprint.
