We’re looking for an experienced Head of Digital & SEO to join an established organisation with offices in Swindon, London and Leeds. This is the ideal opportunity for a talented Head of Digitial and SEO to lead the UK Website and SEO Strategy.

What you’ll be doing

  • Develop and implement the SEO strategy and plan to improve our organic rankings
  • Accelerate the development of our web-estates including both onsite and off-site (SEO) activities to drive acquisition and engagement from prospects and customers
  • Develop, monitor and optimise the performance of the website channel and create campaigns to deliver against key customer and business KPIs
  • Analyse the competitor landscape and web profiles as well as stay on top of market trends to build competitor benchmarking, establish best practice for optimization and through analysis develop plans to close gaps
  • Work with project delivery teams to successfully launch new products and iterations on time and within budget.
  • Regularly report on core KPIs including traffic statistics, site speed, bounce rate, site availability, inbound links, conversion rate and penetration rates as well as make recommendations for SEO
  • Partner with internal teams across the business to deliver rich content aimed at achieving annual conversion and engagement targets through organic search 
  • As part of an annual and monthly cycle build business cases to secure budgets that will deliver strong ROI and support your SEO roadmap
  • Lead the design and development of new system requirements that may affect the website and/or related assets, particularly integration or transition to CMS and CRM tools, advising the senior management on important major digital website development
  • Lead and optimise our conversion rate activity; continually apply best practice to ensure customer journeys are optimised to both user and commercial goals
  • Own the tracking and tagging throughout the site ensuring it all links provide full funnel metrics that helps us understand the whole customer journey from an impression (e.g. Goggle and Facebook) or an email being sent (e.g. via Marketo) to an open account
  • Identify and manage any operational risks including those that are compliance related to ensure problems and opportunities are addressed effectively regulations are adhered to e.g. DPA, GDPR, web accessibility and payment card regulations etc

What experience you’ll need to apply



  • Commercially minded and enjoys working towards exciting customer and commercial KPIs
  • 8 years of experience of managing SEO, CMS and CRM platforms as well as commercialization of customers through digital
  • Good understanding of Digital development and workflows
  • Exceptional project and product management skills
  • Budget management and strong planning, analytical and reporting skills
  • Understands all the technical and integration elements linked to managing a website estate
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to work across several time critical deliverables simultaneously
  • A Conversion Optimisation mindset
  • Drive a continuous improvement philosophy across the team by leading the execution of new digital tools, platforms and experiences
  • A self-motivated team player who enjoys change
