Senior Systems Engineer

This is an opportunity for Systems Engineers with full life cycle experience to work on new state of the are design projects, for this market leading global within the instrumentation field.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Oversee and assist in capturing user/product needs, risk management, and input to design validation.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of projects, project bids and proposals.
  • Work on multiple short innovation projects.
  • Solve product problems as they relate to physics, mathematics and systems engineering issues.
  • Keep abreast of technological developments with a view to their potential application.
  • Liaise with suppliers in defining the optimum choice of components.
  • Ensure design follows Codes of Practice and project Life cycle methodologies.
  • Understand and mentor others in good design techniques, experimentation, analysis, and domain understanding.
  • Ensure development knowledge is captured and proactively disseminated through a variety of media.
What experience you will need to apply:
  • Degree qualified or higher (PhD desirable) in an Engineering, Science, Mechanical, Maths or equivalent field.
  • Proven Systems Engineering expertise with good requirements capture and risk management.
  • Systems design knowledge including failure analysis such as FMEA, CAD design packages, and mathematical modelling.
  • Strong communication skills are vital and an interest in working closely with clients, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Any process plant, chemical engineering, water, oil & gas, or pharmaceutical experience would be a bons
