Manufacturing Engineer

This is an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer looking to join an innovative and highly professional, inclusive, and driven environment, working on the development of high value, low volume Scientific equipment manufacture.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work on both current and new products to help quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved.
  • Utilise Lean manufacturing methods such as Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, DFMA, FMEA and Kanban.
  • Production/Materials support including supplier analysis.
  • New Value Innovation including product procurement and build, drawing release and control, BOM, supplier selection and assistant in the generation of documentation.
  • Monitor Quality of build/test, cost controls and assist other teams.

What experience you will need to apply:

  • Degree qualified ideally 2.1 or higher within a Manufacturing or Engineering related subject.
  • Ability to work on or aspirations to work with high value, low volume equipment with a complexity and challenge. High Technology products experience would be beneficial.
  • Good understanding of Lean manufacture methods especially Six Sigma (Green or Black belt would be highly desirable but not essential).
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering production processes – any 3D CAD or DFMEA skills would be a bonus.
  • Driven and able to work with a variety of cross-functional teams.
