    Manufacturing Engineer

This is an opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer looking to join an innovative and highly professional, inclusive, and driven environment, working on the development of high value, low volume Scientific equipment manufacture. The company offers a fast-growing environment, with excellent opportunities for career development. What you’ll be doing: Work on both current and new products to help quality, delivery and cost targets are achieved. Utilise Lean manufacturing methods such as Six Sigma, SPC, 8D, DFMA, FMEA and Kanban. Production/Materials support including supplier analysis. New Value Innovation including product procurement and build, drawing release and control, BOM, supplier selection and assistant in the generation of documentation. Monitor Quality of build/test, cost controls and assist other teams. What experience you will need to apply: Degree qualified ideally 2.1 or higher within a Manufacturing or Engineering related subject. Ability to work on or aspirations to work with high value, low volume equipment with a complexity and challenge. High Technology products experience would be beneficial. Good understanding of Lean manufacture methods especially Six Sigma (Green or Black belt would be highly desirable but not essential). Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering production processes – any 3D CAD or DFMEA skills would be a bonus. Driven and able to work with a variety of cross-functional teams. This is an opportunity to join an exciting Bioprocessing innovator using a breakthrough platform to reduce the manufacturing costs within the Cell & Gene Therapy and Discovery markets. In line with growth, they are looking for a Technician to assist with Microfluidic development and microfabrication.What you’ll be doing:Perform microfabrication including soft lithography, CNC micromilling,  stamping, and bonding to help develop, fabricate and prepare microfluidic technology. Additionally you will obtain data on microfabrication and hyroddynamics flow tests to suggest design changes and process improvements.What experience you'll need to apply: Ideally degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering with a focus on Fluid Mechanics, Hydrodynamics or Microfluidics, with commercial microfabrication experience. Have worked with a SUSS MicroTech Mask Aligner (MJB4/MA8( or similar machinery with plasma bonding and/or spin coaters. Able to use CAD Software for example 2D lithography drawing in GBR format and 3D sketching. You will be involved with major development contracts, proposals, R&D, legacy production support.   What experience you’ll need to apply Autodesk Inventor 2017 onwards. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Creating part numbers and produce bills of materials on the company’s ERP system. Mechanical FE analysis. Production of detailed, sub-assembly and general assembly drawings. You will be an essential part of the Engineering team and the most experienced Electronics Engineer in the organisation.   What you’ll be doing As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing power electronics for unique & high-performance renewable energy storage systems. The storage systems will be a range of electrical vehicles, EV charging stations, grid connectivity, wind & solar farms, and public transport.   What experience you’ll need to apply Embedded C for STM32 systems. They are creating innovative, customer-focused solutions and services to enhance efficiency and deliver tangible economic impact through chemical, physical and structural analysis of materials.   What you’ll be doing As the Project Systems Engineer, you will be supporting the development of next-generation, high-technology scientific instrumentation. You will be delivering prototype design, build, test and commissioning for process automation systems. You will need to be proficient in 2D & 3D design and have an appreciation of drawing issues controls, BOM’s, engineering control documentation, specifications, reports and technical files. Ensuring project requirements are captured and achieved while meeting all necessary safety, compliance, and technical standard, whilst working closely with the manufacturing and service teams to ensure design delivers operational efficiency. You will be working with the operations team to support the order entry, scheduling, procurement, and manufacture of the system to ensure required delivery, cost and quality requirements are met.   What experience you’ll need to apply 5+ years in a system design role in the Process and Automation industry. Technical competency in mechanical, electrical, and system engineering, with an appreciation of, manufacturing engineering, control and automation, electrical installation, test and inspection, and validation. Professional CAD experience (preferably SolidEdge). Project planning. Installation and commissioning.   What you’ll get in return for your experience 12-month contract open day rate or FTC.
