In line with growth the are looking for proven Mechanical Design Engineer with good Autodesk Inventor and Geometric tolerancing to join the team, to work on the full product development lifecycle of new and existing products and systems.What you’ll be doing:Design of low to medium volume electro-mechanical devices and large-scale cooling systems, both existing and new.Involved with major development contracts, bids/proposals, R&D activities, and legacy production support.Produce designs that meet customer specifications through design verification and full lifecycle development within a gated review environment. What experience you’ll need to apply? Ideally Aerospace or regulated industry experience working on electro-mechanical or mechanisms design Strong Autodesk Inventor skills covering 3D design or components and assembly models. What you’ll be doing As the Project Systems Engineer, you will be supporting the development of next-generation, high-technology scientific instrumentation. You will be delivering prototype design, build, test and commissioning for process automation systems. You will need to be proficient in 2D & 3D design and have an appreciation of drawing issues controls, BOM’s, engineering control documentation, specifications, reports and technical files. Ensuring project requirements are captured and achieved while meeting all necessary safety, compliance, and technical standard, whilst working closely with the manufacturing and service teams to ensure design delivers operational efficiency. You will be working with the operations team to support the order entry, scheduling, procurement, and manufacture of the system to ensure required delivery, cost and quality requirements are met. What experience you’ll need to apply 5+ years in a system design role in the Process and Automation industry. Technical competency in mechanical, electrical, and system engineering, with an appreciation of, manufacturing engineering, control and automation, electrical installation, test and inspection, and validation.
