.Net and C#.NET Developer Jobs

Not entirely sure what a career within  this field could entail? Or you might be looking for your next opportunity: Here a few general examples of roles that should give you a starting point, followed by Tech roles that might be of interest to you.

One thing to mention for "working within Tech" in general is, that you will need to make sure that your knowledge remains fresh and up to date at all times. Tech advances quickly, so making sure your skills advance with it is essential. Going to Tech meetups can help, so does reading tech blogs as well as maintaining a presence on Github/Stack. Also building your own sites and/ or working on your own projects can be of advantage.

Here, some specific examples or roles:

C#/ASP.Net Developer

Your primary skillset will be based upon C#/Asp.Net and SQL Server. You'll have experience with development tools such as Visual Studio, TFS and SQL Management studio. MVC experience is seen as desirable but not essential, as well as experience with Sitecore, Umbraco, Kentico, Episerver or any similar CMS. Any familiarity with build servers will be a bonus, ideally Team City.

You'll deliver end-to-end web based solutions, developing websites, taking a lead on key projects when required and developing new features throughout. Part of your role can also involve investigating customers’ problems, working with other team members to solve any technical issues and providing solutions. You may be working in a collaborative team so when necessary, it’s all about helping any other colleagues when they need it.

C# .NET Developers

You may be developing applications using your experience of Common SQL and at least one DB Management System, such as SQL Server or MySQL.  An understanding of web services and APIs (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP) as well as Secure Programming Practices will be useful. Together with a team you may be responsible for core development of products and services. You may be developing one core platform and/ or develop new products and services. The role in itself can be particularly varied when dealing with bespoke customer requirements on top of new feature requests and general enhancements.

.Net Developer

You'll develop .Net web applications using technologies such as ASP.Net, C#, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, SQL Server, HTML, JSON, XML, CSS, JavaScript and associated web technologies. You may develop new products and/ or add features to existing products using the .NET Framework. You will be able to produce high quality code and may get to work on a range of really interesting and cutting edge projects covering the full development life cycle whilst maintaining industry best practice and standards. Senior .New Developers will scope, spec, architect, document, develop and deliver.
Desirable skills include; JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Knockout, React), T-SQL, Automated testing (Selenium), LESS, Agile/Scrum.
