As an Asp/C#.Net Developer, you will be responsible for building .NET applications using specific languages and technologies that are relevant to your project - this could be front-end or back-end web development. Your main responsibility will be to design and develop layers of applications and to coordinate with a team working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
You may be developing applications using your experience of Common SQL and at least one DB Management System; such as SQL Server or MySQL. An understanding of web services and APIs (TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP), as well as Secure Programming Practices, will be useful. Together with a team, you may be responsible for core development of products and services. You may be developing one core platform or develop new products and services.

At an entry level salary of a .Net Developer will be between £22-£30k on average. At the mid-level you’d be looking to earn £30-£45k and seniors would be looking to earn £45k+.

What qualifications does it take?
A BS/MS degree in IT, computer science or computer engineering is useful. There are a number of Microsoft .Net accreditations including MCSA, MCSD and MCPD. Also, it’s possible to get CMS certified with the likes of Sitecore, Umbraco, Kentico and more.
