What a  PHP Developer career or job may entail...
You'll develop in order to create or maintain website features, intranets and/or systems, applications and/ or software (including SAAS) using Javascript, PHP, Laravel/Symfony3/CodeIgnitor etc, MySQL, LAMP admin, GIT, Javascript/JQuery and you would usually require solid HTML and CSS knowledge. 

Typically, you’ll be asked to work alongside Designers, UXers, Project Managers and 3rd party suppliers to develop high quality, intuitive applications. You will constantly evolve your skills, partaking in courses, experimenting with new tech and passing on your knowledge of ever-changing tech trends.

You may work directly with clients or with internal teams to provide estimates, updates and tech consultancy. LAMP server management, support and testing can also play a part alongside new development projects where you’ll be able to help evaluate new technologies, suggesting process/system improvements where possible. 

You may take part in code reviews, optimise and upgrade existing systems as well as creating new products from scratch - always ensuring they are the best they can be. As a PHP Developer, you’d really get the chance to sink your teeth in and make a huge impact on exciting products throughout the whole development cycle.

At an entry level, junior/graduate PHP professionals on average will be earning between £20k-£30K. At mid-level you’d be looking to earn £30k-£45K and seniors would be looking to earn £45k+.
