    Front-End UI Developer

    — Learn Vue!

    Fully remote for 10+ years. Multi-functional platform with an international client base.  Chance to learn Vue with weekly L&D sessions.  This FinTech have been fully remote since 2009 with a small team based all across the UK so have been well-equipped to cope with the madness of 2020. They have a core product which offers a very wide range of functionality as well as a newer business management platform in the life insurance space. With an international client base spread across Europe and the US, they’re now focusing on improving the UI of their original product as well as growing the functionality offering of the new platform as it continues to build momentum in the market.  What experience you’ll need Background in UI/UX design with recent front-end development experience.  Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JSON, Webpack, JavaScript/TypeScript.  Comfortable with at least one modern library (preferably Vue, React/Angular fine).  Style pre/post processors (LESS), BEM.  REST APIs, OO programming.  Not essential to have but their stack includes C#, ASP.Net, MS SQL/MySQL, AWS, Git. What you’ll be doing Joining a small team of full-stack developers you will take the lead on UI/UX development and design, adding new features and functionalities to their product offering plus helping them move one of their platforms away from Bootstrap into Material Design. You’ll be implementing collaboration services to support workflow management, contributing to UI testing, advising on all architectural decisions across the front-end plus advocating best practices with other developers in the team. They work with Vue so you’ll need to be comfortable learning it, as well as helping to build on their component library by producing efficient and re-usable code.  What you’ll get in return for your talents Flexibility, learning and personal development is engrained into the culture.     JavaScript Engineer

Work with the latest languages – Node, React, React Native Remote working, flexible hours, nice benefits.   A brand-new start-up who create intuitive software solutions in the form of native applications and platforms are already making major movements in their market; and following an extremely successful period of sustained growth they are now looking for a JavaScript Engineer to take on a variety of important duties within the tech team. Experience you’ll need You will have been working with JavaScript commercially for a few years. NodeJS experience is essential. Good experience of ES6. Good understanding of Unit testing and TDD. React / React Native Experience beneficial. Any cloud experience would be very beneficial e.g. AWS or GCP. Exposure to CI/CD. Exposure to Git flow or similar. Experience working in an Agile environment. Passionate about learning the right technologies for the task. What you’ll be doing You will be joining a small team of senior engineers who will support you on your journey, which involves responsibilities such as developing, testing and maintaining backend API’s with some front end and mobile development, which will be React, Node and React Native. You will work with the QA lead and other developers, using the right tools and languages to ensure a high quality of product. As time goes on you will have the chance/be expected to research new technologies/tools that could benefit the tech stack, you can then implement those with support from other engineers, it’s important to stay up to date! There will also be opportunities to travel for meetings and client presentations. You should be comfortable in this environment and thrive when presenting the product.
