    eCommerce Development Manager

This highly established eCommerce brand is in the process of growing their eCommerce Development function. We’re looking for an impressive eCommerce Development Manager to join the talented team on a contract basis for 12 months. You’ll work in tandem with their tech agency to deliver some very exciting rollouts across the business.  What you’ll be doing You’ll be working on the key eCommerce offerings of the business, utilising your digital and technical knowledge in order to drive improvements on Magento on both the UK and International sites. It’s a hugely exciting proposition with your actions impacting heavily on customer experience, customer acquisition and, in turn, online turnover.  A number of businesses this size require business as usual projects, but here you’ll have a strong pipeline of new and exciting projects to deliver real change. You’ll investigate digital opportunities across the platforms, putting together best in class solutions through a tangible digital roadmap. Ensuring this ties in with the goals of digital marketing and web merchandising, you’ll then work with the Development agency to rollout your plans, testing and tweaking them as you go.  The Head of Digital will be on hand for any questions and guidance, so its the best of both worlds here with respect to support and freedom / autonomy to thrive.  What experience you’ll need Proven background in delivering digital projects in an eCommerce setting.  Magento experience is key here. However, this is a small client-side business but with a fast paced and ambitious ‘agency-like’ feel. What you’ll be doing You’ll have 2 content designers and 2 UX/UI executives reporting into you. This role may also include line management/liaison with the SEO Manager. You’ll be hands-on using User Research and analytics to review web design, shape decisions and direct content. As well as managing your team, effective stakeholder management will be key. The business has conducted user research (eye tracking & heat mapping) but are yet to have discussions about iterative research beyond analytics. This is all good stuff to explore at interview. This role would suit a digital all-rounder who can understand users, use data to shape decisions, create/direct content, and who’s able to communicate this convincingly to business stakeholders. A bonus if you have some hands-on experience in UI design, user experience or content.  You won’t find slow processes or long hierarchy ladders here. The team have nurtured relationships with clients across the globe and have a reputation for quality output. They’re now looking for a Mid-Weight Designer to join their team and better their digital offering. We're looking for driven designers who are interested in the perfect mix of creative and tech, with opportunity to develop your UI, UX, HTML and CSS skills. What you’ll be doing This role will report into the Head of Digital Design, Creative Director and wider executive team. You’ll collaborate with the wider studio team to better the agencies already impressive digital design offering by creating some great work! The briefs will be challenging - you could be working on anything from creating the visuals for a complex website or web app from wireframing to execution through to designing banners and emails. You'll generate innovative, commercially-sound concepts and create work that demonstrates real flair, but beyond the user interface you'll be able to understand how your designs can be translated within development. There will be opportunity here to build CMS sites within webflow and squarespace, so an understanding of building in HTML and CSS is ideal. Using your knowledge of UX principles you'll ensure usability is at the heart of your digital designs and you'll also be familiar with the Atomic Design Process, producing small detailed components to scale-up in to full web builds. The agency will reward those who are driven outside the four walls of the studio - if you aren't afraid to get stuck in with learning new skills for yourself and bring fresh ideas to the table, then you'll be given the guidance to personally develop and progress where you want to be! What experience you’ll need to apply You'll need at least a couple of years agency experience in a design role. A portfolio that showcases your digital design abilities with examples of websites and web assets you've designed. Skills with the usual tools in the Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Some experience with a prototyping tool like Axure, UXPin, InVision or Sketch. You'll have worked in an environment that uses a pattern/component/asset library. Ideally some knowledge of the atomic design process. Experience in HTML5 desirable, but some experience working alongside developers essential. Due to the team structure here, we’re looking for someone who’s forthcoming with ideas, is confident taking briefs through to execution, and who’s not afraid to get stuck in wherever needed in this small agency environment. There’s huge potential in the role and if showing willingness and drive, your talents will be rewarded with more ownership of projects and client engagement as you progress. The projects are broad so ideally you’ll have a multi-channel experience, but if you’re a master of brand and print, don’t hesitate to get in touch! What you’ll be doing  This is a brand-new role for an Artworker who’s detail driven, to come in and support the existing marketing department. You’ll be joining an experienced and close-knit team, to support in the production of print ready artwork for both print and digital. Reporting into the Marketing Manager and working closely with their designers and wider teams, you’ll be the reliable helping hand who’ll take all designs through to artwork. With your fluency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, you’ll create layouts as directed by the in-house designers to be fully executed across integrated channels to a high standard. One day you could be working on their 100-page catalogue, the next you could be producing digital artwork to be built into an email design. Alongside this you’ll be organising and managing creative assets, performing any amends, and proof checking finalised designs – getting them ready to pass on to external stakeholders. Although this is predominantly a technical artworking role, ideally you’ll have both an eye for visual layout and an appreciation of good design craft to bring to the table. What experience you’ll need to apply Previous experience in a technical artworker role in a commercial setting. A portfolio full of artwork for solely print, or integrated channels. Ideally have worked for ecommerce business in the past. Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite InDesign and Photoshop, Illustrator a bonus. Have great attention to detail and some knowledge of producing print production ready files. An appreciation for great design craft and high-quality execution. Reporting directly into the marketing manager you’ll work closely with other copy and content specialists as well as a wider development and sales team. Though some commercial experience is needed the client is happy to consider those at a junior level. You’ll bring with you creative writing ability but be able to finesse some of the more technical copywriting skills in-house and have a team of creatives to bounce ideas off of and learn from in equal measure. You’ll create copy for the main customer facing website as well as external and partner channels. This will include writing descriptions for the resorts, creating conceptual copy for marketing campaigns, digital advertisements, mailouts and press ads too (both digital and offline). You’ll also be a regular contributor to the company blog and help to drive relevant traffic to the site. You’ll have creative freedom to produce content customers will love and always ensure your work is SEO optimised to make the most of every piece.  What experience you’ll need  Excellent writing skills both creative and technical.  An understanding of SEO and the ability to craft optimised content that’s engaging. A passion for holidays and travel writing.  Previous experience using a CMS. Ideally hold a relevant degree in English or Creative writing.
