UX Consultant Jobs
Being a 'UX Consultant” could entail many different things. It's one of those roles that can come under many different titles. For example, a UX Consultant is often referred to as a UX Researcher.
If you are wondering what a UX Consultant may be doing, in a nutshell...
No matter if you’re client side or working for an agency, you’ll be responsible for championing the user when redesigning a public facing site, mobile app, internal system or any other platform within the digital ecosystem.
Normally, you’ll collaborate with a team of UX and Digital Designers as you’ll validate their design work through your research and usability testing. As a UX Consultant, you’ll bring in users for focus groups and workshops and you can expect to put forward wireframes and prototypes. It’ll be really beneficial if you know your way around one of the standard wireframing and prototyping tools like Axure, InVision, Marvel or Proto.io. From here, you’ll flesh these out into high fidelity designs in collaboration with the design team.
Some organisations will see you as the in-house expert in user research and testing, so you’ll be called upon to train colleagues in UX best practice and evangelise the latest user experience methodologies.
Here at ADLIB we recruit for all levels of UX Consultants, from Junior, through to Mid Weight and Senior User Experience Consultant.
