Building a new data engineering function for enterprise migration to the cloud
- Bank of Ireland Group plc is a commercial bank operation in Ireland and one of the traditional Big Four Irish banks.
- For their enterprise migration to the cloud, Bank of Ireland was in need of a new data engineering team as well as a contract resource to support during phase 1.
- They conducted 15-minute chats before a 1 stage technical and offering. 6 hires were made with a combination of Cloud Data Engineers, on-prem Data Engineers and contractors.
The Head of Data Engineering needed this team built fast, so we agreed to keep open lines of communication and for 24-hour CV turnaround and suggested streamlining the process as much as possible due to the nature of such a competitive talent market.
