Building a Brand new data science function

  • LV= is one of the United Kingdom’s largest insurance companies. It offers a range of insurance and retirement products.
  • LV= were looking to establish an ML cloud infrastructure and Ops to trial novel ML products. For this, they needed to build a brand new data science function, comprised of ML Data Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • We initially worked with the Hiring Manager as a candidate, finding him the role at LV= as they were partnering with the University of Bristol to make advancements in the field of data science.
All cases studies

They needed to build the team. We worked with them to truly understand their style of working and management. This resulted in the team’s first 2 hires, followed by another 5 hires across data engineering and machine learning over an 18-month period.
