We are working with an innovative biotech who are looking for a Data Scientist to join their team. Their goal is to use synthetic biology to produce textile dyes to ultimately reduce the 5 trillion litres of water per year that goes into the dying industry. They are currently Series B and already made waves within the industry, and they’re not stopping there. They’re opening a new chapter in their story, seeking a talented Data Scientist to become an integral part of their ongoing success.

What you’ll be doing
In this key role, you’ll support a thriving company by implementing data science models, advising on experimental design, managing data migration, and building visualisation pipelines. Your impact will be felt across the organization, driving innovative solutions, automating processes, and facilitating valuable insights. Key activities include; applying data science analysis and predictive modelling, collaborating closely with a range of technical experts and enhancing efficiency through cutting-edge digital tools and data management.

What experience you’ll need to apply

  • An MSc or PhD in a data-oriented field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, etc.
  • Proven skills in Python and experience with other languages such as Perl, Julia, Java, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to design data models, analyze biological datasets, and optimize processes.
  • End to end Machine Learning experience from pipelines to deployment.
  • Experience in bioinformatics and graph databases like Neo4j will be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise across diverse technical levels.
  • Prior experience in a high-growth setting.
