Integrating world-leading geospatial modelling with asset data, the client can show businesses how they interact with nature beyond carbon alone. This ultimately leads to informed decisions that benefit the environment by accounting for agriculture, biodiversity, vegetation, hydrology, soils, and carbon emissions.

With a growing client base, the team are now focused on building further products that enable companies to embed nature into their decision making. Reporting directly to the Head of Delivery, you will work in a varied role to deliver projects to customer expectations. Working with both the Commercial and Engineering teams, you will identify how tools can be incorporated into the delivery process so that a wider range of customer needs can be met. You will also feedback to internal teams to inform them on how customer experience can be enhanced. You will be comfortable speaking with customers, advising them on risk, setting targets, and identifying which package best suits their needs. You will be excited about taking customer feedback and incorporating it into proposal developments.

What you’ll be doing:
In your role as Delivery Manager, you will:

  • Client Base: Work with a range of household names, identifying their dependencies on nature and supporting their transition to nature positive. You will continue to develop and strengthen customer relationships, turning them into long-term clients.
  • Customer Management: Speak with customers and guide them through a complex process, helping with all aspects from explaining key natural capital concepts, relating it to their specific goals, choosing a framework and metrics that work for them, and managing customer concerns and queries.
  • Enhancing Proposal Offerings: Try and identify patterns between customers to identify where frequent issues occur, and work to find resolutions that could be commonly applicable. Work with the Commercial team to standardise proposals, inform project plans, and create delivery timelines. You will also work communicate with the Engineering team, providing customer feedback to enhance future proposal offerings.
  • Team growth and Management: In the long-term, you will help to grow the Delivery team. This will include supporting with hiring, onboarding and team management.

What experience you’ll need to apply:
This role will be perfect for you if you have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject, such as Environmental Science, Biology, Sustainability, or similar.
  • Proven experience in a consultancy/delivery/project management role, such as Sustainability, Net-Zero, ESG, Biodiversity consultancy or similar. It would be preferred for candidates to have a background in consultancy or NGO working environments.
  • A track record of successfully managing customer relationships. This will include experience leading on customer projects, delivering high quality outputs to time and resource constraints.
  • Excellent communication skills. You will enjoy speaking with a range of people, including C-Suite Executives, and will have a knack for summarising complex and technical topics for non-specialist audiences.
  • A naturally inquisitive mind, being keen to learn new technologies, skills and ways of working. You will be willing to work on complex problems and thrive in problem-solving environments.
  • An action-oriented approach, being comfortable with ambiguity and change. You will appreciate that working for an early-stage start-up will require you to manage multiple and varied tasks at any one time, though you will be supported by the broader passionate and friendly team.
  • A passion for the natural world and are interested in working for a solutions-oriented company at the forefront of the nature and climate crises. You will be keen to expand your scientific knowledge of the sector.

It would be desirable for candidates to have the following experience:

  • Good working knowledge of QGIS, or other associated spatial analysis tools.
  • Working knowledge of key natural capital concepts.
  • Good proficiency with R and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing.

What you’ll get in return for your experience:
In addition to a base salary of £50,000-£69,000 (DOE), you will also receive:

This is a full-time PERM position (40-hour week) and is based ideally in London, with a hybrid working split (requirement of 2 days a week in-office). However, remote working will be considered for the right candidate. Please note the company have a compulsory day a month in-person for team building activities and essential meetings.

Core hours are 9:00am-6:00pm though there is flexibility on this, with a relaxed company culture focused on delivering results. The client can offer VISA sponsorship for candidates already based in the UK. The client is looking for candidates to start as soon as possible, though are willing to wait for the right person.
