We’re looking for a Head of Design and User Research to join a top UK brand.

What you’ll be doing

In this pivotal leadership role, you will manage and mentor a team of researchers and multidisciplinary (full stack) designers, ensuring the customer is at the heart of every experience. You’ll oversee a team that’s involved in discovery through to delivery across a wide variety of products and journeys, including internal tools.

A design leader, you will provide strategic direction for the team and help promote innovation, looking for ways to improve design and research processes and outcomes.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business including peers in product, data, engineering, brand and marketing in order to build strong relationships, promote collaboration and create a truly consistent experience for customers across all touch-points.

You’ll be joining the business at an exciting time with plenty of opportunity to help shape the future. You’ll be in good company, working with a team that are strong advocates for design, including the CEO, so you and your team will have the backing to make design impactful and deliver real value.

What experience you’ll need

  • Previous experience in a design leadership role creating and managing multidisciplinary design and research teams at scale.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships internally and with external partners.
  • Have helped deliver and improve customer facing digital products and services to large user bases.
  • Have a strategic mindset with experience in creating and delivering user centred design strategy and innovation.
  • Experience within large, complex organisations and preferably within regulated industries or in the technology sector preferred.
