About the Mobile Developer role
 
We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Developer to join our highly skilled, cross-functional, and collaborative team. You’ll work with Swift and Kotlin and elevate our iOS and Android applications to the next level; working across the full mobile development life cycle to define, design, and ship new features, integrate third-party APIs as well as bugs fixes and ensuring quality and responsiveness of the applications.
This opportunity provides true autonomy and a unique chance to own the role. As a key player in the development of our mobile platforms, you’ll have a direct impact on the growth of the brand in terms of user engagement, application performance, and overall market presence.
A hands-on role that affords you the scope to involve your tech savvy and strategic nature to devise long-term innovations, whilst staying on the pulse of the latest industry trends in mobile technologies.
Fully remote, allowing you to work anywhere within the UK; Some of the team chose to meet up once a month in Bournemouth for a bit more face time with colleagues, although this is entirely optional.

What experience you’ll need to apply
 
Essential skills

  • Proven software development experience with a strong focus on mobile app development.
  • Proficient with Swift and Kotlin and understanding of their ecosystems.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
  • Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
  • Experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of UI/UX design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Working knowledge of source control using Git & GitHub.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Desirable skills

  • Knowledge of WebRTC or VoIP.
  • Experience working with GitHub for project management (including Issues and Projects).
  • Expertise in agile methodologies and sprint rituals.
