Lead search strategy for market-leading performance marketing team

Exciting opportunity to join a new team.

Hybrid working + fantastic benefits package.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-known brand, seeking an experienced Paid Search Manager to take ownership of their paid search strategy and drive significant customer acquisition growth. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead search campaigns with substantial budgets whilst mentoring junior team members in a data-driven, high-performance environment.

If you’re a Paid Search Manager, PPC Manager or Senior Paid Search Specialist with proven experience managing significant Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising budgets, and you’re ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, results-focused team, this role offers genuine career progression within performance marketing leadership.

What you’ll be doing

  • As Paid Search Manager, you’ll develop and implement comprehensive paid search strategies across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, working closely with the Senior Paid Media Manager to deliver ambitious customer acquisition and ROI targets.
  • Lead day-to-day campaign management across search platforms, conducting advanced keyword research, ad copy testing, and bid optimisation whilst managing substantial budgets to maximise performance against key metrics including CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Data Studio and platform-native tools, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business.
  • Collaborate with analytics, content, and digital teams to develop integrated media plans and ensure campaign alignment across channels, whilst maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct sophisticated A/B testing across ad formats, landing pages, audiences and bidding strategies, using data-driven insights to continuously optimise campaign performance and identify scalable growth opportunities.
  • Provide coaching, guidance and mentorship to team members and new hires, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of testing, learning and continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of platform updates, algorithm changes, industry trends and search marketing innovations, bringing fresh strategic approaches to campaign management whilst ensuring compliance with evolving regulations.
  • Support budget forecasting and allocation activities, ensuring efficient spend distribution across campaigns and platforms to maximise return on investment and meet business objectives.

Experience you’ll need

  • Proven track record managing paid search campaigns with significant budgets, ideally within a regulated environment such as financial services or similar sectors requiring compliance oversight.
  • Strong expertise across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising platforms, with deep understanding of PPC strategies, keyword research methodologies, conversion optimisation techniques, and attribution models.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools including Google Analytics (GA4), Google Data Studio, and campaign management platforms, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making and campaign optimisation that demonstrably improves performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, present campaign results effectively, and work cross-functionally in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously whilst maintaining meticulous attention to detail and meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members, sharing knowledge and building capability within the wider team.
  • Google Ads certification is advantageous, along with relevant platform accreditations.
  • Solid understanding of the full customer journey, conversion tracking, and measuring campaign effectiveness across multiple touchpoints.

What you’ll get in return

On top of a competitive salary, you’ll receive an extensive benefits package including 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, option to purchase additional holiday, flexible hybrid working (typically 2-3 days in the Bristol office), private medical insurance, generous pension contributions and much more.

What’s next

If this sounds like the ideal next step in your paid search career, we’d love to hear from you.
