Working with a forward-thinking InsurTech firm challenging the insurance landscape with a great mission behind it. Having already benefited the lives of their customers, they’re gearing up for more groundbreaking product and service launches across diverse sectors. They’re breaking the mold in the insurance space and are looking for an experienced data scientist to come on board to work on pushing the boundaries of pricing modelling & ML.

What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Pricing Data Science team, you’ll work with experts in their field and will work on ML driven pricing projects. This business are pushing the boundaries of pricing in the insurance space, moving away from traditional actuarial modelling and using more and more ML techniques to improve pricing to gain better margins and return on investment from their customers. You’ll work on a modern tech stack with a progressive team. On top of this there are quarterly hackathons with the wider data science department focussed on the latest developments including Gen AI, LLMs, computer vision & more.

What experience you’ll need to apply

• An MSc or PhD in a data-focused field like Computer Science, Statistics, or Data Science or a solid STEM background.
• Sold SQL & Python skills.
• Experience working in insurance, or any other FinTech/FS type service or business.
• Pricing or Risk modelling experience
• Proven expertise in developing and deploying end-to-end Machine Learning models for business challenges.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Effective communication skills for seamless collaboration across diverse technical levels.
• Prior experience in a high-growth environment.

The compensation for this role ranges from £80,000 – £100,000 (dependent on experience), along with a host of fantastic benefits.
