Fantastic opportunity to join an internationally established company entering the Irish market. The client have a strong track record globally and of entering new markets, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team in the early stages that will be competing with other large developers in the Irish market.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the scouting of suitable locations for projects by the Land Manager and negotiating agreements to develop Solar and BESS projects.
  • Managing the whole life cycle of projects up to Ready to Build stage, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
  • Have an excellent understanding of market and regulatory developments.
  • Support and lead on tenders to secure development locations.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders including development partners, local communities, grid operators and external consultants.
  • Support the financial valuation process and manage project budgets.
  • Acquisition of brownfield or built projects.
  • Build relationships with joint venture partners and negotiate co development agreements.

Experience:

  • Experience within the solar and bess industry with 3 + years experience.
  • Knowledge of building projects in Ireland alongside local and national planning laws, ideally a knowledge of projects from 20MW upwards.
  • Experience within the full cycle of projects from land, negotiating, planning, grid connection, technical, financial all the way up to ready to build.
  • Fantastic communication skills and experience managing multiple external stakeholders from solicitors, engineers, financial advisors, grid operators etc.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of solar and bess projects.
  • Brownfield and M&A Processes – experience in buy-side project acquisition processes (e.g. NDA, exclusivity, LOI, MOUs, SPA, SHA, etc.), including deal and contracts negotiation will be a plus.
  • PPAs – Demonstrated deep knowledge of negotiating public and private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with off-takers will be a plus.

The opportunity will start as fully remote with it moving to 1 day a week in the office in Dublin in the future. Market leading bonus.
