Technical SEO Specialist

We are looking for a talented Technical SEO Specialist to join an award-winning agency with offices in London and Brighton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a super talented team with a number of well-known brands within their client base! As Technical SEO Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering technical SEO expertise including technical audits and web migrations, across a wide range of accounts and brief technical work for SEO Analysts.

What you’ll be doing

• Delivering technical SEO recommendations inline with SEO best practices and existing and new technologies.
• Produce technical SEO audits, identifying issues with search engines from crawling and indexing content, and making recommendations for resolution.
• Improve website performance through effective SEO recommendations.
• Work closely with developers to confidently discuss and resolve technical changes.
• Collaborate with SEO Managers and to deliver SEO activities and feed technical SEO activities into client roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of Technical SEO best practice and complex technical SEO activities including across JavaScript SEO, hreflang , diagnosing page speed, and core web vitals, logging file analysis, site architecture, navigation and management of indexing.
• Cross collaboration with the wider team to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• This is a client facing role and will require you to deliver technical SEO recommendations in client meetings.
• Strong knowledge of technical SEO analysis tools and be able to analyse performance effectively.
• Mentoring junior SEO team members on technical SEO and how to implement effective SEO recommendations.

Experience you’ll need

• Experience in a similar technical SEO role, able to code and identify issues which will impact SEO.
• Proficient in SEO tools including Screaming Fron, OnCrawl, Google Search Console, APIs, Schema Testing, Chrome Inspector.
• Ability to effectively track SEO performance and site health, making and implementing recommendations when necessary.
• Knowledge of AI and how AI can be used to scale activity and techniques to achieve this.
• Understanding of how technical SEO impacts the wider ecosystem and fits into the marketing strategy.
• Able to complete technical audits at scale; using tools to audit large websites and identify issues quickly.
