We’re looking for a Creative Services Manager to join an agency team in Bath. It’s a great time to join the team, off the back off their best year yet and with 2024 shaping up to be another record breaking year.

What you’ll be doing

As Creative Services Manager in an small agency this role is predominantly a hands on design role, with some management and creative leadership. The agency works across multiple sectors and delivers content marketing, social, paid search, email, branding, web design, animation, motion graphics and video for their clients.

As CSM you’ll play a client facing role, building strong relationships with customers and really getting to understand their business, propositions and needs. You’ll work closely with clients to define creative briefs and design solutions as well as deliver these through the team. You’ll also be responsible for quality control for work leaving the studio.

You’ll be managing one designer and responsible for mentoring, critiquing work and helping them develop. You’ll also collaborate and manage a broader team of trusted contractors that flex up and down to deliver projects, often working with multidisciplinary creative teams on briefs.

As an experienced Designer and CSM your input will be crucial in helping ensure creative processes in the studio are as efficient as possible. You’ll help improve processes and consider who’s best suited to deliver what project whether yourself, the other designer or the extended network of creatives.

You’ll be joining an experienced team with a long history of working in media publishing and creative, with great retained clients and a healthy pipeline of work. It’s a small, close and collaborative team where you’ll have autonomy. Everyone has personal, family needs and commitments outside of work so you’ll find a flexible and autonomous environment.

What experience you’ll need

  • A graphic design or related degree.
  • An expert user of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • An experienced Designer with a portfolio that showcases a wide variety of creative design work.
  • A great communicator, confident in front of clients and able to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Great organisational skills with the ability to create and improve design processes.
  • Comfortable leading other creatives on projects.

Beneficial but not required:

  • Experience in After Effects, Premier, XD and Figma beneficial.
  • Commercially minded with experience of managing budgets.
