An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Data & IT Security Manager to join an organisation at the forefront of tech for good.

In this critical role, you’ll be entrusted with safeguarding sensitive information, ensuring data integrity, and deploying security measures to combat cyber threats. With a focus on creating a secure digital environment, the ideal candidate will spearhead efforts to mitigate risks, maintain confidentiality and uphold data standards.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and implementing data security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensuring data quality through validation, cleansing, anonymization, and more.
  • Leading the cybersecurity strategy, from control development to incident response.
  • Staying ahead of cybersecurity trends and adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Designing a secure IT infrastructure and collaborating across teams for integrated security measures.
  • Managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring SLAs are met.

What experience you’ll need to apply:

  • Proven track record in data security and IT security management.
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • CISSP certification or equivalent highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of making complex issues accessible to all

Desirable:

  • Experience in managing IT security in a cloud-based environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
