Digital Experience Lead

We’re looking for a Digital Experience Lead to join the in-house agency for a global brand. You’ll be joining a studio of almost 100 people that create a wide range of digital and interactive products, including immersive environments and experiences in AR and VR.

What you’ll be doing

In this role you’ll be joining the in-house design studio for a global brand. This internal agency is almost 100 people strong and is home to specialists in UX and UI, development, graphic design, animation, visualisation, project management and client services.

As the Digital Experience Lead you’ll be responsible for managing a small multi-disciplinary team. This role will involve management, strategy, and design leadership of the team day to day but from time to time you’ll get involved hands on too, helping to design on projects. Projects vary but you can expect to be working on website and web applications for a variety of clients and collaborating with developers and designers alike both in the UK and around the world.

This is a client facing role so you’ll spend time engaged with customers, understanding their needs and using your experience to spot opportunities for the team to deliver new solutions. You’ll keep up to date with the latest digital trends, emerging technologies and tools.

As a people leader you’ll inspire the team to create great work and help shape and guide their approach when needed. You’ll also play a key role in building the design maturity of the studio and help deliver the vision of design.

What experience you’ll need
 

  • UX and UI design skills, preferably within immersive real-time projects or products.
  • Previous experience in a strategic design role, managing, mentoring and leading other designers at a project level.
  • A great understanding of digital channels and technologies.
  • Comfortable working with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with a range of senior stakeholders.
  • Client facing experience with great communication skills, able to run workshops and contribute to pitches when needed.
  • Experience of working across multiple clients and/or projects. Agency experience beneficial.
