Our clinical stage pipeline, meanwhile, features 22 therapeutics, with five products already launched.

What you’ll be doing:
UCLB are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team to support project management activities at UCLB. The ideal candidate should have experience of working within a diverse team, with the ability to work on a portfolio of projects under time constraints. The appointed individual will be proactive, organised, and a strong communicator. The position requires the candidate to work closely with other teams at UCLB and UCL to ensure an integrated approach to project delivery.

What experience you’ll need to apply:
You will be required to have a good knowledge of biotechnology and/or pharma to deliver new and existing projects for the BioPharma team. Ideally, the candidate will also have experience and interest in physical sciences to support project delivery for the Physical Sciences teams. Projects must be managed within the appropriate timescales, on budget and to a consistently high standard. The Project Management Team work closely with project funders to ensure there is a fluid transition from approval to set-up, and on to successful completion.

Successful candidates will be professional, personable, and have an interest in technology innovation. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a solid work ethic, ability to create and manage project plans and reports, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

Skills/Experience required:
• Scientific Degree in Life Sciences or related discipline with a good understanding of biotech and/or pharmaceuticals or equivalent.
• Experience in biotech/life sciences project management. Experience in Physical Sciences (e.g.medtech, software development, materials) a benefit but not essential.
• Qualification and proven experience in project management or equivalent.
• Ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience of managing a diverse portfolio of projects through their lifecycle, adhering deadlines and timescales.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly developed relationship building skills.
• An attention to detail and highly developed planning and organisational skills.
